IVS Partner's in Progress CE Event

On April 11, 2018 there were fourteen speakers offering the first annual ISU – IVS Partners in Progress CE Event at the Des Moines Botanical Center. This CE Event was open to all Iowa veterinarians and their staff.  There were a total of 21 different lectures with three different rooms running concurrently for a total of 21 Continuing Education Credits.  Each attendee left this event with a total of 7 Hours of Free CE.  The event was orchestrated by Iowa Veterinary Specialties with the help of Specialists from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.The Lecture topics were very broad and  included the following: Toxicities, Ocular Emergencies, Updates in Ocular Therapeutics and Ophthalmology Case Management, Round Cell Tumors, Endocrine Emergencies, CPR, Nutrition, Cardiology, Urinary Obstruction, Urinary Incontinence, Low Stress Handling, Canine Osteosarcoma, ITP Basics, Thoracolumbar Spinal Stabilization, Current Topics in Oncology, Novel approaches to upper UT stones, Anesthesia Drugs, Canine Transitional Cell Carcinoma, Management of Ingested Foreign Bodies, and Anesthesia Machine Maintenance.    IDEXX sponsored the lunch and with the added sponsorships of Boehringer Ingelheim, Elanco, Midwest Veterinary Supply, Sarstedt, Vetamac, Virbac, Wells Fargo, and Zoetis, Iowa Veterinary Specialties and Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine was able to bring this CE to the attendees free of charge.  I would like to thank all of the sponsors for their support of our profession and acknowledge my sincere appreciation for their partnership in this event.
