K-9 HEALTH: Some members of the Des Moines Police force got a special check-up

Iowa Veterinary Specialties did free eye evaluations for service dogs Thursday. A number of police pups from K-9 units took part. As did a few guide dogs.

Doctors say performing the check-up is a bit more difficult than you might think. But they say it's important to keep the dogs healthy so they can do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
