Walk With Your Pup to Fight Cancer

Expect to see a lot of dogs walking around Des Moines on Saturday. The Iowa Veterinary Specialties is hosting the Puppy Up walk.  The two-mile walk with your dog is to increase awareness about canine and human cancer. The Puppy Up walk is part of a national campaign to have two million dogs walk two miles each to raise funds for cancer research. It started when one dedicated dog-owner walked across the country with his two dogs after the loss of another pup to cancer. The Puppy Up walk starts at 9 a.m. at Gray’s Lake in Des Moines.
