Women in Veterinary Medicine

Women are charging ahead in the workplace and it is no surprise to find female faces popping up in veterinary schools and clinics like never before. Today, women outweigh men 3 to 1 in many veterinary schools across the country and in clinics as well. Women have been flooding the professional field for many decades now. No one is certain as to the exact cause, it may be due in part to the broad societal changes we are facing or the promotion of educational equality. These days, women can do just about any job that men have traditionally held. Check out the following CNN report done at the Iowa State University campus to find out more.
